Our friendly professional approach means we’re there when you need us and invisible when you don’t.
Let us know your lift pass and ski hire requirements and we will ensure that your lift passes are waiting for you and that your equipment hire is reserved for you. We can book ski lessons and ski instructors for you – whether you’re looking for group lessons or a private instructor, we will know exactly the right option for you. We try to be as flexible as possible with regards to arrival and departure times and we know that you’ll want to make the most of your ski time. We will call you before your arrival to check on any specific dietary requirements and requests and will tailor menus to suit you. We can arrange in-chalet massage and beauty treatments so that you feel utterly pampered and truly relaxed. We can book restaurants for lunch or dinner to ensure that you can make the most of your ski time knowing your table is reserved and waiting for you.
We can help you celebrate a special occasion – whether it’s baking a birthday cake, or cooking a particular favourite dish, buying flowers or arranging a treat. Just let us know what you need and we’ll sort it for you (and we’re very good at keeping secrets!) In summary, we love to help and we want you to have the best holiday because we care.
We can arrange baby-sitting or nanny care as well as organising push chairs, cots, high chairs and other equipment to help you travel lighter. We can provide high tea or early supper for children and are happy to prepare favourite meals as we understand that sometimes it can be more difficult travelling with children.
There is nothing like a day in the fresh mountain air on the slopes to whet your appetite. We pride ourselves on the high standard of our food and our service. Avery Crest Chalets offer a varied menu including some delicious favourites alongside some more traditional French cuisine to really give you that local flavour! We are passionate about using the best, freshest and wherever possible local ingredients to ensure that whatever we cook for you, it will taste delicious. We discuss menus with you to ensure that we are providing the perfect meals for your group and we will offer a selection of wines to complement the dishes chosen.
Start your day in our luxury chalets with a delicious cooked breakfast accompanied by a selection of bread, fruit, yoghurt and cereals. Come back to the chalet after a great day’s skiing to afternoon tea with homemade cake. Enjoy chilled champagne and canapés as a prelude to the main event – a spectacular dinner served with a choice of fine wines, especially chosen by our Sommelier. Then sit back in the comfortable sofas to enjoy coffee, chocolates and the mesmerising atmosphere of the open fire.
Our experienced, qualified chefs are employed because of their passion for food and for their high standards of customer care. We take pride in our fine dining standard cuisine but are equally happy to prepare children’s high teas or to design lighter menus according to your requirements. But whatever dishes we cook for you, they will be homemade and created using fresh and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
We are more than happy to cater for any specific dietary requirements – please notify us upon booking or when we call to discuss menus prior to your arrival. Also do let us know if you are celebrating any particular occasion during your stay as we would be delighted to bake a birthday cake or create the perfect anniversary dinner for you to enjoy.
We can also recommend and book restaurants for you for lunch to ensure that you can relax and enjoy your skiing knowing that a table is ready and waiting for you. As many of the popular mountain restaurants do get booked in advance, we recommend making reservations. We can of course make suggestions and reservations for your night out for dinner (chalet staff get one night off per week).
We pride ourselves on the quality of our wines and on the choice we provide. At the start of the season our chef and Sommelier spend time to source a selection of wines that will complement our menus and that will delight our guests.
We begin the evening by serving perfectly chilled champagne with a selection of canapés before moving on to the main event – a sumptuous four course dinner with a selection of wines to match each course.
The chalets have a ‘Guest Fridge’ which is always stocked with soft drinks, beer, wine and treats so that you can help yourself whenever you want to. A selection of teas and coffees is also always available.

Despagne Biface Blanc – Bordeaux 2016 – Bordeaux – Light yellow in colour with green hints. Intensely aromatic with passion fruit, peach and citrus. Lively and fresh, tight, round and persisting. Slightly mineral and salty in the finish.
The family have been continuing this tradition for over 200 years in the Entre-deux-Mers. The family Despagne have made a name for themselves for their innovative know how of Bordeaux wines and their vinification techniques.
Cave De Turckheim Riesling Tradition 2014 – Alsace – Notes of citrus, grapefruit and exotic fruit. The taste in delicate, fruity and long with a crisp finish.
Cave de Turckheim have been producing wines for over 50 years in Alsace. The wines are born from a subtle alchemy of passion, respect for tradition and exceptional soils.
Domaine Paul Thomas Sancerre ‘Les Comtesses’ 2015 – Loire – Light gold in colour, this is a complex wine with a mixture of floral and citrus aromas, with notes of white flowers and passion fruit on the palate.
Made with a sauvignon Blanc grape in Loire in the Monts Damnes, on the south-west exposed hills where the land is white and chalky
Domaine de Bieville Chablis – Burgundy – A round, supple Chablis with a rope and creamy flavour. Golden in colour with tints of green this fruity wine has hints of lemon and grapefruit. Louis Moreau is the wine-grower and he is the sixth generation of his family to make wine in Chablis.
Domaine des Fines Caillottes Pouilly-Fume 2013 – Loire – A lovely Loire Sauvignon Blanc with a dry, crisp, lemony fruit flavour with hints of elderflower. The wine maker is Jean Pabiot who is a prominent producer in both of the two classic Loire Sauvignon appellations: Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé.
Domaine Mucyn Les Charmeuses Crozes Blanc 2016 – Rhone Valley – A lovely representation of a Northern Rhone White. Warm and peppery with notes of butterscotch and mandarin. Velvety and round on the palate.
Chateau Patache d’Aux – Medoc 2011 – Bordeaux – A classic, full flavoured red Bordeaux wine – dark, packed with cassis and some lovely savoury notes. Plummy aromas, deep-purple colour and rich taste of blackcurrant. Château Patache d’Aux is located in the far north of the Médoc region and has over 43 hectares of vineyards.
Domaine Paul Thomas Sancerre Rouge 2014 – Loire – This Sancerre Red has a blackcurrant nose and mouth of red ripe fruit. This is a fresh, light red packed with slow ripening berry fruit.
Made with a Pinot Noir grape in Loire in the Monts Damnes, on the south-west exposed hills where the land is white and chalky
Capmartin ‘L’Instant’ Madiran 2015 – South West France – A big bold super smooth blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat. The vibrant notes of lavender and blackberries marry perfectly with the velvety smooth structure. The lip sucking, gum smacking taste of cloves, liquorice and black fruit blend in the glass perfectly.
The first vintage of this wine was born in 1987 in the Domaine of Capmartin. Located on rich soils this family of wine growers continues to grow and is now starting to turn to organic farming.
Domaine Guiton Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015 – Burgundy – A lively and well structured red burgundy. The supple, round tannins and fruit are well balanced. The Jean Guiton Domaine runs 13 hectares of vineyards on the Cote de Beaune and they harvest by hand.
Michelas Saint Jemms Crozes Hermitage Signature 2016 – Rhone Valley – This unoaked wine succeeds in marrying the traditional peppery spiciness of the Syrah grape with softer, rounder, dark berry fruit flavours – very much the house style of this producer
Mas de Farjou Les Lembrusques 2017 – Languedoc-Roussillon – From one of the pioneering producers of Pic St Loup. Herbaceous Grenache is complimented by spicy Syrah and juicy carignan to produce a wine of endearing appeal and delightful quality and complexity
M de Minuty 2017 – Provence – A perfect Apres ski wine, to be drunk while soaking away in the hot tub or by the fire before dinner! It’s provence Rose at its absolute best. Soft red summer fruits with an elegant finish. This wine comes alive when the sun is shining and it becomes very hard to stop at just one bottle!

Why not revive yourself after a day on the slopes with a sublime treatment provided by our recommended therapists. We can provide soothing massages and a range of beauty treatments in the comfort and privacy of your chalet (at an extra charge). Qualified therapists will visit the chalet at a time to suit you and ensure that you feel utterly pampered.
Chalet Trois Ours is equipped with a dedicated therapy room where you can relax and enjoy a couple of hours of pure bliss. Choose from our menu of treatments and we will sort out the rest. We recommend booking at least two days in advance and any payments for massage and treatments are taken in resort.
